Touch a Million hosted an engaging, child centered and driven event to commemorate and celebrate this international day, focusing on children of the world - A day to improve child welfare, promote and celebrate Children’s Rights and the Culture of Play ... under the UN driven theme “continuously build up a living-friendly environment for children in the world through dialogues and actions”.
Attracting over 300 ECD learners, the day was a great platform to give adults in the community a niche understanding of Children’s Rights and unpack the need for the rights, and gunner support from adults- promote and adhere to these rights.
Through our Artrageous programme, age conscious industrial theatre productions were presented to the under 5year old attendees, as well as teambuilding song and dance sketches to share, inform and teach the children about Child Abuse and Kidnapping.
The children were informed and taught about;
- Right to Education
- Right to a safe environment
- Right to healthcare
The toddlers took part in art and bunting making whilst entertained by stilt walkers, magicians and they played various games.
